Nearly 50% of Canadians are OK with employers looking at their Facebook profiles, according to poll

According to this poll, nearly half of 1,200 Canadian Facebook users polled are comfortable sharing their Facebook profiles with employers. If true, this questions the conventional wisdom that users wish to hide their true online persona from figures of authority, but may also be signs of a cultural difference between Canada, and the United States, where reports of job offers being revoked or people getting fired or reprimanded as a result of content on Facebook abound.
